This is not the life God intended us to have!

6:30am...the alarm goes off...you hit snooze thinking another 15 minutes will actually make a difference. You attempt to think positive - ok, today is going to be a good day! Then...what happens? The kids have something go wrong at school, the car breaks, you realize you're about to overdraft on your bank account, you have no time with your spouse or loved ones, you have laundry piling up everywhere, and a million errands to run...you feel like you will never catch up with the "every day" stuff...let alone have "you" time!!!

Is this the life that God reallyintended for us to have? Let's take a look:

"The tief cometh not, but for the steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10 KJV

So who is this thief? The Word here isn't talking about an actual robber, but Satan himself. And what has he come to steal, kill and destroy? - our peace, joy and happiness. Peace, joy and happiness doesn't come, at least for most people, from scrubbing floors, running kids around, paying bills at the last minute and wondering how you are going to scrape together enough cash to pay for gas this week. Where does it really come from? For me, it is spending time with those I love and care about. I could care less if we are out doing something adventurous, or if we are just staying in eating a pizza and watching a movie - as long as we are together. But how often does that really happen - and, how much are you really enjoying it knowing the stresses that await you tomorrow!?

This is NOT the life God intended for us! He did not send His only Son to die on the cross (John 3:16) and endure what He did for us to be caught up in the "rat race". So what do we do? Is there a way to break free?

The answer is...YES...BUT only IF you are willing to do the work to untie the bondage that has enslaved you!

Join me as we take a slow but deliberate journey towards freedom. It won't come quickly or easily, but it will come if you persist. So, as Jesus said, "Take up your mat and walk", and start the journey with one deliberate, joyous, hopeful step...a step out in faith towards true freedom from the bondage that is this life that Satan has decieved us into believing is our reality. Say "NO! THIS IS NOT WHAT I SIGNED UP FOR! THIS IS NOT WHAT JESUS PAID FOR!!" And let's go...together!
